The North Central Zonal Director of the National Orientation Agency (NOA), Princess Dr. Priscilla Gondoaluor, on Thursday, 21st August 2025, paid a courtesy and advocacy visit to the Emir of Keffi, His Royal Highness, Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, CON, at his palace in Keffi. She was accompanied by staff of the Zonal Directorate and the Nasarawa State Directorate.
In her remarks, Dr. Gondoaluor commended the Emir for his outstanding developmental strides, which align with NOA’s National Identity Project designed to promote meritocracy above mediocrity. She noted that the Zonal Directorate was created earlier in 2025 by the current Director-General of NOA, Mallam Lanre Issa-Onilu, to strengthen the Agency’s capacity to effectively communicate the policies and programmes of the Federal, State, and Local Governments.
The Zonal Director also expressed gratitude to the Emir for his long-standing partnership with NOA’s activities in Keffi Emirate and officially informed him of her elevation from the Nasarawa State Directorate to the Zonal Office. She further solicited the continued support and collaboration of the Emir and the traditional council towards the success of the 2025 Continuous Voter Registration (CVR) exercise, which commenced across the 774 Local Government Areas of the country, stressing the importance of ensuring that every eligible Nigerian participates in the forthcoming general elections.
Speaking on security challenges, Dr. Gondoaluor voiced the Agency’s concern about the insecurity affecting parts of the North Central Zone. She emphasized that while the Federal Government is intensifying efforts to curb the menace, lasting results require the cooperation of local communities under the guidance of traditional rulers.
“NOA is again calling on critical stakeholders, especially traditional councils, who interact daily with people at the grassroots, to take more proactive measures in addressing this prolonged insecurity that has claimed lives, properties, and farmlands, and is threatening food security in Nigeria,” she stated.
In his response, the Emir of Keffi, HRH Alhaji Dr. Shehu Chindo Yamusa III, commended Dr. Gondoaluor for her dedication and hard work during her service at the Nasarawa State Directorate, which earned her elevation to the Zonal Office. He pledged his continued support for NOA’s initiatives within his domain and outlined immediate steps his traditional council would take to support the ongoing Voter Registration Exercise.
The Emir further reaffirmed his commitment to working with stakeholders to strengthen peace and security in Nasarawa State, the North Central Zone, and Nigeria at large.
