The wife of the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) Governorship Candidate in Kwara State, Hajia Zainab Titilayo Arike Kale Kawu, will on Monday, August 31, 2026, mark her 56th birthday anniversary with the official launch of the Arike Hopeful Hearts Foundation and a special health outreach programme for women in Kwara State.

The birthday celebration and foundation launch will take place at the family house of her husband, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, in Agaka community, Ilorin.

The event will feature the official unveiling of the Arike Hopeful Hearts Foundation and its logo, formally setting in motion a platform aimed at advancing humanitarian interventions, particularly in support of women and children and other vulnerable members of society.

As part of activities marking the occasion, the foundation will organise a health outreach for women, offering basic medical checks and screening for common health conditions, including diabetes and hypertension, as well as consultations and the dispensing of prescribed medications and drugs.

Medical doctors and other health experts will also be on ground to educate participants on the causes, prevention and management of diabetes and hypertension, while special attention will be given to post-menopausal health, self-awareness and the dangers of self-medication.

The health education sessions are expected to provide women with practical information on recognising early warning signs, seeking appropriate medical attention and making informed decisions about their health, particularly as they navigate age-related health concerns.

The initiative reflects Hajia Zainab Titilayo Arike Kale Kawu’s longstanding commitment to touching lives and supporting women and children, demonstrating that service to humanity can extend beyond the confines of public office.

Through the Arike Hopeful Hearts Foundation, she is seeking to institutionalise this commitment and create a platform through which humanitarian interventions can be sustained, particularly for people who may face challenges accessing essential healthcare and other forms of support.

Her approach to service also resonates with the values associated with her husband, Engr. Sulaiman Bolakale Kawu, whose public engagements have consistently been anchored on community development and service to the people, both within and beyond Kwara State.

The philosophy of “O dá ní ilé, ó dá níta” — being impactful both at home and beyond — aptly captures the spirit behind the initiative, as the birthday celebration combines thanksgiving with a practical demonstration of compassion and service to humanity.

The 56th birthday anniversary is therefore expected to be more than a celebration, as Hajia Zainab Titilayo Arike Kale Kawu uses the occasion to unveil a foundation dedicated to bringing hope, promoting wellbeing and creating positive impact in the lives of women, children and other vulnerable members of society.

Women and members of the public who wish to participate in the health outreach are invited to attend the programme at the Agaka family house on Monday, August 31, 2026.
