Former Senate President, Dr. Abubakar Bukola Saraki, has donated a brand new Toyota Land Cruiser Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV), millions of naira in cash and other gift items to the Chief Imam of Ilorin, Sheikh Muhammed Bashir Dan-Suluki, during a courtesy visit following his arrival in Kwara State.
The presentation, according to Saraki’s Media Office, was aimed at supporting the revered Islamic leader and his religious activities.
The Chief Imam expressed appreciation for the gesture, describing it as another indication of Saraki’s respect for the Ilorin Emirate and its religious institutions.
He offered prayers for the former Senate President, asking Allah to grant him continued guidance, protection and abundant blessings.
The Islamic cleric also prayed for the Peoples Democratic Party (PDP) governorship candidate in Kwara State, Engr. Suleiman Bolakale Kawu, seeking divine wisdom, guidance and success for him ahead of the 2027 governorship election.
According to the statement, the Chief Imam described Saraki’s donation as a thoughtful gesture and thanked him for extending support through the vehicle, cash donation and other gift items.
