Public Complaints Commission, the Nigerian Ombudsman, an agency of government responsible for addressing administrative injustice has once again put smiles on the faces of the aggrieved.
In a complaint against Adamawa Investment & Property Development Co. Ltd. (ADIP), the Adamawa state office of the Commission was notified that approximately sixty employees had been laid off without receiving their benefits and that all attempts to obtain them had been unsuccessful. The complaint concerned nonpayment of outstanding salaries, service charges, and leave grants.

After months of diligent investigation and follow-up, the case was ultimately resolved on Monday, February 5, 2024, when a total of N5.8 million was deposited into the personal accounts of the former ADIP employees.
On Thursday, February 8, 2024, the Complainants’ representatives came to the Commission with smiles and words of gratitude in hand. They brought a letter of appreciation to Hon. Commissioner Alh. Abubakar B. Jijiwa MFR, expressing their gratitude for his support and advocacy in their absence.
Recall that in January, the Commission resolved a land case between MTN and a complainant from Guyuk LG where a resolution was reached and agreed to by MTN to pay the complainant the sum of N4.2m as compensation for the said land.
