‎FG, STATES, LGCs SHARE N2,225.118 BILLION FROM AUGUST 2025  REVENUE‎

‎A total sum of N2,225.118 billion, being August  2025 Federation Account Revenue, has been shared to the Federal Government, States and the Local Government Councils.
‎The revenue was shared at the August  2025 Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) meeting held in Abuja.

‎The N2,225.118 billion total distributable revenue comprised distributable statutory revenue of N1,478.593 billion , distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue of N672.903 billion, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL) revenue of ₦32.338 billion ,and the  Exchange Difference N41.284 billion.


‎A communiqué issued by the Federation Account Allocation Committee (FAAC) indicated that total gross revenue of N3,635.802 billion was available in the month of August  2025.  Total deduction for cost of collection was N124.839 billion while total transfers, interventions, refunds and savings was N1,285.845 billion  

‎Gross revenue of N722.619 billion was available from the Value Added Tax (VAT) in August  2025 as against ₦687.940 billion distributed in the proceeding month , resulting increase of ₦34.679 billion .

‎The communiqué stated that from the N1,478.593  billion total distributable revenue, the Federal Government received total sum of N684.462 billion and the State Governments received total sum of N347.168 billion

‎The Local government Council received N267.652 billion, while the sum of N179.311 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was shared to the benefiting State as derivation revenue.

‎From the N672.903 billion distributable Value Added Tax (VAT) revenue, the Federal Government received N100.935 billion, the State Governments received N336.452 billion and the Local Government Councils received N235.516 billion.

‎A total sum of N4.851  billion was received by the Federal Government from the N32.338 billion from  Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL).  The State Governments received N16.169  billion and the Local Government Councils received N11.318 billion.

‎From the N41.284 billion from Exchange Difference, the communiqué stated that the Federal Government received N19.799 billion and the State Governments received N10.042 billion.

‎The Local Government Councils received N7.742 billion, while the sum of ₦3.701 billion (13% of mineral revenue) was shared to the benefiting States as derivation revenue.

‎In August 2025, The Gross Statutory Revenue of N2,838.214 billion  received which is lower  than the sum of ₦3,070.127 billion received  in the previous month by ₦231.913 billion.

‎Oil & Gas Royalty,Value Added Tax (VAT) and CET Levies increased significantly while Petroleum profit Tax (PPT),Import Duty, Electronic Money Transfer Levy (EMTL),Companies Income Tax (CIT) and Excise Duty recorded decreases.
