ZAMFARA 8: NYSC SECURES RELEASE OF ANOTHER PCM, DRIVER
Another female Prospective Corps member, including the driver of the bus that was kidnapped in Zamfara State on route to the NYSC Orientation Camp in Sokoto State last year, has been released as a result of the combined efforts of the National Youth Service Corps and the military.
With this, there are now five PCMs (Prospective Corps Members) who have been released in total. Work is still being done to ensure that the three PCMs (two men and one woman) who are still in captivity are freed as soon as possible.
This brings the total number of Prospective Corps Members (PCMs) already released to five, while efforts are still ongoing to ensure that the remaining three (one female and two male) still in captivity regain their freedom soonest.
The Director General, National Youth Service Corps, Brigadier General YD Ahmed appreciates the security agents for their untiring efforts that resulted in the release of the PCMs, adding the Scheme will never shirk its responsibility of upholding the welfare of Corps Members at all times
