Zulum Raises Alarm Over Two Missing Suicide Bombers After Maiduguri Blasts

Governor Babagana Zulum has disclosed that two suspected suicide bombers are still at large in Maiduguri following recent explosions that shook the Maiduguri metropolis.

The governor made this known during an interview with BBC Pidgin, where he revealed that intelligence reports indicate that five suicide bombers infiltrated the city.

According to him, three of the attackers have already detonated their improvised explosive devices, while security agencies are still tracking the remaining two suspects whose locations are yet to be confirmed.

“As I mentioned earlier, the intelligence we have received so far indicates that five suicide bombers infiltrated Maiduguri,” Zulum said.

“So far, three have detonated their IEDs, while the whereabouts of the remaining two are still being investigated.”

The development has heightened tension in the Borno State capital, with residents expressing concern over the safety situation, as security operatives intensify surveillance and intelligence efforts to prevent further attacks.
