YOUTH FARMERS BACK DANGOTE PETROLEUM REFINERY, COMMEND FEDERAL GOVERNMENT FOR RESOLVING CRISIS

The Youth Farmers’ Organization for Agricultural Development in Nigeria has expressed its support for the Dangote Petroleum Refinery in the wake of the recent crisis involving PENGASSAN and NUPENG. The group also commended the Federal Government for its swift and decisive intervention, which helped to resolve the issues between the parties.

This position was contained in a press statement jointly signed by the National President, Abdulrahman Umar Etudaye, and the Secretary-General, Ibrahim Abdulrazak Jeje, following a one-day advocacy visit and facility tour at the Dangote Refinery.

According to the statement, the President described the refinery as “a national pride and a strategic asset whose operations must not be halted for any reason.” He added that, “As young people, we are optimistic that with maximum support from all stakeholders, the Dangote Refinery will drastically address the challenges of fuel scarcity, bring down the price of petroleum products, and ensure consistent availability across fuel stations nationwide.”

The Youth Farmers further emphasized that the Federal Government must firmly caution unions and stakeholders against any form of disruption capable of undermining the refinery’s operations. The statement noted that it is “no longer news that the Dangote Refinery is on a historic mission to rescue Nigeria from prolonged fuel scarcity and its associated hardship. As Nigerians, we cannot afford to take lightly any group, union, or individual attempting to sabotage the laudable efforts of Dangote Industries Limited.
