In a quest to rekindle fond memories of their Secondary school days, which culminated in their graduation in the years 1992, the ’92 set of Ojoku High School,Tolu Complex, Olodi Apapa, Lagos, have organised a reunion to strengthen their bonds that were initiated when they were class mates, over 33 years ago.
The venue of the event in Festac Town, Lagos, came alive with nostalgic memories, excitement, and celebration as members of Ojoku High School Set ’92 gathered for their reunion and get-together, which many participants have since described as “a huge success.”
The event, which was held on Saturday, 10th January 2026, at Rockview Hotel brought together alumni from across Nigeria and the diaspora, making it a significant moment of reconnection, reflection, and renewed commitment to lifelong bonds forged over three decades ago.
From the moment guests arrived, it was evident that it was more than a social gathering, as the atmosphere was charged with warmth and familiarity as old classmates embraced, shared fond memories, and marveled at how far each individual had come since their secondary school days.
The reunion served as a powerful reminder that time and distance may separate people physically, but shared history and values keep relationships alive.
Speaking at the event, the Chairman of Ojoku High School Set ’92, Dr. Damian Nzeh, who came in from Abuja, for the event expressed profound gratitude to God for the success of the gathering and appreciated members for their commitment and unity.
He noted that the success of the reunion was the result of collective effort, sacrifice, and a shared vision to keep the spirit of the set alive.
“This reunion is about celebrating our journey, appreciating one another, and strengthening the bonds built over thirty years ago that define us as family.” Dr. Nzeh noted.
The very interactive programme which was anchored by Engr. Godwin Ogbonnaya, had different participants air their thoughts, views and appreciations including Adamu Yakubu, Akeem Busari, Helen Onwuegnuchulam and Mezie Eziukwu and Linus Eze amongst others.
Florence Eke gave a short narrative on the need to help each other, especially those facing one challenge or the other by ensuring that those who can support them out of their travails, do not hesitate in reaching out to them.
While Ike Nebolisa spoke on the need for members to appreciate connecting with the Divine to solve problems especially for prosperity in their endeavours and the Local Organising Committee chairman Ngozi Osuala reiterated these positions.
Members of the diaspora group were appreciated for their strong support and commitment. Their involvement underscored the global nature of the Ojoku ’92 family and highlighted the power of unity beyond borders. Appreciation also went to those that supported financially despite being unable to attend in person.
Members commended the LOC and the Executive Committee, for their meticulous planning and coordination, from logistics and venue arrangements to entertainment and hospitality, every detail reflected careful preparation and teamwork.
The Attendees enjoyed the program that blended formal proceedings with light-hearted moments, old-school music, dance and opportunities for networking.
Beyond the celebration, the reunion also reaffirmed a shared commitment to mutual support, collaboration, and future initiatives that would benefit members and society at large.A fall out of this was the setting up of a welfare committee to support members with one challenge or the other.
Many participants expressed enthusiasm about sustaining the momentum generated by the event and translating it into meaningful engagements going forward.
As the evening drew to a close, one sentiment echoed across conversations: pride in belonging to Ojoku High School Set ’92. The reunion was not just a look back at the past, but a confident step into the future, anchored on friendship, shared values, and collective purpose.

The members departed with gifts and souvenirs, smiles and promises to stay connected, with each other and one thing was clear: Ojoku High School’92 set are not just classmates, but a family.
