The Office of the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation (OHCSF) has ushered in a new leadership era as Mrs. Nkiruka Jones-Nebo officially assumed duty as Permanent Secretary, Career Management Office (CMO), following her appointment by His Excellency, Bola Ahmed Tinubu, GCFR, President and Commander-in-Chief of the Armed Forces, Federal Republic of Nigeria.
Speaking during the handover ceremony held today, Monday, 11th May 2026, Mrs. Jones-Nebo expressed deep gratitude to God and appreciation to Mr. President and the Head of the Civil Service of the Federation, Mrs. Didi Esther Walson-Jack, OON, mni, for the confidence reposed in her. She assured of her commitment to fostering a collaborative and productive work environment.
In his remarks, the Director who had been overseeing the office, Mr. Mohammed Yaro Dantani, provided insights into the office’s operations and highlighted its critical role within the Civil Service structure. He urged staff members to extend their unwavering support to the new Permanent Secretary.
In a vote of thanks, the Director of Learning and Development in OHCSF, Mrs. Helen Garpiya, appreciated all attendees for gracing the ceremony and prayed for a successful tenure for the Permanent Secretary.
In attendance at the brief ceremony were Directors from the Federal Ministry of Justice where she last served as Director, Directors in the Career Management Office, friends, and well-wishers.
