Kwara State Council, Medical and Health Workers Union of Nigeria is set to host the 22nd edition of the North Central Zonal meeting billed for the 14th-16th July, 2026 in Ilorin.
The meeting is expected to be delivered open by the Executive Governor of Kwara State, Mallam Abdulrahman Abdulrazaq is the special guest of honour at the occasion at the NLC Conference hall starting at 10am.
Speaking on the preparation for the meeting, the Kwara State Chairman of the Union, Comrade Bolatito Oladele Isaac, said the Kwara State Acting Head of Service, Dr Mrs Olufunke Mercy Shittu is the Chief Host, the Kwara State Commissioner for Health, Dr Mrs. Amina Ahmed El-Imam, and the immediate past SSA on Labour, Comrade Abdulmumeeni Onagun.
Expected at the meeting are the National President of the Union, Magayakin Manjibir, Comrade Dr. Kabiru Ado Sani Minjibir, the Union’s National Secretary General, Zanna Kiyama II, Comrade Yusuf A. Kiyawa, and the National Vice President, North Central Zone, Comrade Muritala Saheed Olayinka who is also the Kwara State NLC Chairman.
Bolatito noted that the meeting would be attended by the State Chairmen and Secretaries from the North Central Zone including Kwara, Plateau, Nigeria, Nasarawa, Kogi, Benue and the FCT.
It will also be attended by the chairpersons and Secretaries Women Committee from the North Central Zone, National Officers in the zone and SAC members from the host State.
Executive Director H-TEMAR International Training and Consultancy Associates, Comrade Olaide Oyerinde Ajiboye MCIPM is the guest speaker at the meeting.
Highlights of the meeting is award to two distinguished personalities from the Kwara State, the State Commissioner for Health, Dr Amina Ahmed El-Imam and the Executive Secretary, Hospital Management Board, Dr Abdulraheem Malik.
