The Nigerian National Petroleum Company (NNPC) Ltd. vehemently disputes the untrue and deceptive claims that NNPC fuel is short-lived in a widely shared viral video. This claim, which comes from amateur, unverified research that lacks credibility, accuracy, and professional oversight, is completely unfounded and without foundation.
NNPC Ltd. reiterates that its fuel is expertly blended with one of the best compositions, guaranteeing consumers the best possible efficiency, longevity, and environmental sustainability.
Furthermore, it is crucial to stress that the Dangote Refinery, a strategic partner in promoting local production and energy security, provides a sizable portion of the Premium Motor Spirit (PMS) sold at NNPC retail stations in Lagos, where this misleading video was produced. Dangote Refinery guarantees the quality of petroleum products supplied to our customers by adhering to stringent industry standards.
This deceptive video is just another desperate attempt by economic saboteurs to disseminate false information and damage the reputation of NNPC Ltd. We will not put up with willful disinformation intended to deceive Nigerians and jeopardize our operations.
From now on, NNPC Ltd will take strong legal action against people or organizations that purposefully disseminate inaccurate information about our operations and brand. The law will hold those who commit such heinous acts completely responsible.
We strongly advise the public to ignore such false information and to only trust reliable sources when seeking accurate information. NNPC Ltd is unwavering in its commitment to upholding international industry standards while guaranteeing fuel availability, affordability, and quality for all Nigerians.
