WE ARE NOT IN COMPETITION WITH NNPC, DANGOTE REAFFIRM READINESS FOR DEEPEN COLLABORATION.

The Nigerian National Petroleum Company Limited (NNPC Ltd.) and Dangote Petroleum Refinery & Petrochemicals (DPRP) have committed to strengthening their cooperation in order to secure Nigeria’s energy security and advance shared prosperity for Nigerians, as part of continuous efforts to create partnerships that benefit both parties and encourage healthy competition.

This pledge was made on Thursday at the NNPC Towers during a courtesy call by Mr. Aliko Dangote, the President/Chief Executive of the Dangote Group, and his delegation to Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari, the Group CEO of NNPC Ltd., and members of the company’s Senior Management Team.

Dangote promised to work with the new NNPC Management to guarantee Nigeria’s energy security during the visit.

We are not here to compete with NNPC Ltd., so there is no rivalry between us. We are a part of NNPC, and NNPC is an integral part of our business. The two organizations are working together in this era. Dangote went on.

Dangote acknowledged the magnitude of the responsibility ahead while congratulating the GCEO and the Senior Management Team on their “well-deserved appointments.” He stated that the GCEO is taking on a monumental task, which he is confident can be completed with the help of the capable hands at his disposal in NNPC.

In his speech, GCEO Mr. Bashir Bayo Ojulari promised Dangote a win-win partnership built on constructive cooperation and healthy competition.

Ojulari emphasized the outstanding talent he encountered at NNPC Ltd., characterizing the staff as committed, highly competent, and diligent individuals who are constantly eager to add value for Nigeria.

Ojulari stated that NNPC will continue to work with the Dangote Group, particularly in areas where Nigeria stands to gain commercially, and that the company is prepared to leave a legacy of national prosperity through innovation and a common goal.

In order to envision endless opportunities for both organizations, both executives also pledged to serve as relationship managers for their respective organizations through consistent, fruitful cooperation and constructive competition.
