Horror: Four farmers kidnap from farm in Southern Kaduna Thursday

IDIBIA GABRIEL, KADUNA

At least less than four farmers have been reportedly kidnapped from their farms in the Libere community of Kauru Local Government Area of Kaduna State.

Dokan Karji Youth leader, Aminu Khalid, disclosed this on Thursday in a telephone interview with journalist.

Khalid, said the farmers both male and females were kidnapped at about 12 o’clock while harvesting their crops.

“The incident has caused panic in the whole Libere and surrounding communities deserting their Villages.

“These bandits have continued to occupy more villages in our Local Government Area unchallenged.

Recalled that the Dokan Karji, had earlier reported that Libere was among the 14 Villages overrun by bandits seeking for military intervention.

According to him, some of the victims abducted are identified as follows; Pheobe Adauji, Cecilia Moses, Tambaya and his wife were among the kidnapped victims.

He explained that our communities have over the years faced devastating attacks and kidnappings of their kinsmen with ransom paid running into millions of naira.

” The military authority must come to the aid of our communities, noting that banditry have cripple economic activities and pose a serious hardship on the livelihoods of our people,” Khalid stated.

When contacted, the Kaduna Police Public Relations Officer, ASP Mansir Hassan, said he will get back with more information as of the time of filing this report.
